Duncan studied sculpture at Kingston University and worked for many years in the animation industry in central London. More recently, our move to Somerset was intended to give the time and space to take up sculpture again.
The first requirement was a studio and that led to an extensive reconstruction of an old vinehouse and greenhouse site adjacent to the large crumbling front wall of our property.
The project has taken more than two years but the studio/workshop, greenhouse and courtyard space will soon to be completed.
This is not only a place for Duncan to carve and create, but will also double as an exhibition venue for local artists and makers.
We hope to work closely with the North Curry Community Coffee Shop with future ventures like Somerset Arts Week, providing a creative hub at the centre of the village.
Kim studied at Portsmouth College of Art and Design and also spent many years in the animation industry in London.
She hopes to find more time in her busy schedule to further develop her skills as a watercolour artist, eventually having an exhibition of her own in the Studio.
